I love Sundays. Church was great.. good message, great music. Our little car is having some difficulties in the cold... had to have it jumped after church.
Made a nice ham steak dinner with loaded mashed potatoes and a great salad for lunch. Since then... got a couple of nice photos in an email from our neice Amy in Florida of John's grandparents. I touched them up and put them up on facebook for John.
I plan on getting a couple of frames and putting them up on the wall. I love the old family photos. It's a good day to stay busy inside as it's barely 4 or 5 degrees outside. shiverrrrrrr
Welcome!
What's going on in your life? What are you reading right now? Where do you volunteer your time? What brings you the most peace and joy in your life?

Is it cold outside?
Just being a little sarcastic about the cold. Enjoyed the day...took Noah (grandson) to his B-ball game. They played Livonia... an aggressive team. I enjoyed using the video camera to catch Noah playing. I'm so proud of him. He played hard after getting over pneumonia and held up well. Came home afterward and went to Brockport with John to go to Wegmans (yummy sub for lunch) and on to Walmart..Good Will Store and finished up at Aldi's. Put the groceries away and had a nice coffee break time. Got my laundry done... while the cat just sleeps his life away. How can he sleep so much. These days off go by way too fast. Enjoy every minute.

Winter Fun on Monday, Jan 17
The final day of a nice 3 day weekend. It started out pretty cold today. John and I wanted to go cross country skiing but waited till it warmed up to 17 degrees. About 1:30 we took off for Genesee County Park. It was our first time out this Winter. We skied for approximately 30 minutes and decided not to overdo it first time out. We were cutting our own trails so it was much harder to ski but very enjoyable. The sun was shining and even though it was cold we had a great time.
We are watching Napoleon Dynamite .... I have watched this movie with the grandkids many times.... I don't think I've ever seen it all the way through from start to finish. It's ridiculous.
Enjoying a cup of 'dunkin donuts' coffee.. home brewed...ummm good.

My peace I give you..not as the world gives....
I am so thankful for the peace that comes from God. There is so much turmoil going on in the world around us and in some homes and with families there is little peace to be found. I gave my heart and life to Christ 31 years ago and as I have walked with Him over these years, I have found an inner peace that nothing on this earth or in this life can be obtained. There is still turmoil in the world around me but I know who is in control and that He means 'good' for me. We won't always understand the 'whys' in life but we can certainly trust God. I would say in the old saying 'give peace a chance'. Turn it all over to Christ...our savior and friend...give Him all your cares, concerns...sorrows...disappointments...sins...weaknesses...anger....and watch Him turn it all your 'ashes' into beauty...mourning into joy....heaviness and sorrow into praise. God bless your day!
